As of 2019, there were smart cities projects in place around the globe, with 379 fully developed smart cities in 61 countries. The smart cities market is expected to top $7 billion by the end of the decade, according to a 2022 report from Precedence Research, a global market research and consulting firm. In short, the concept is rapidly transforming from a futuristic vision to a tangible reality. 


And at the heart of this transformation lies the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) devices and smart city technologies, aimed at revolutionizing various aspects of urban life.
